As a flawed society we are not perfect nor will we ever be until Jesus Christ returns and takes us to heaven and makes us whole and pure with him. The anticipation of this time of perfection is exciting and long awaited but what do we do in the mean time. The interim the waiting and the anticipation can often lead to observation of our world, engagement within our world and temptation by our world. The bible says
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:41
But how do we watch in our sinful nature and not fall, we pray and then we pray some more because it could not be our more plainly to us. The flesh these earthly bodies are weak but luckily for us God is strong he’s bigger than anything we face in this world and he has promised to never give us more than we can handle. It is our job in turn to reach out to him for his love and support when our earthly bodies and desires fail us for in his grace to us we can be made strong perfect and holy in his eyes.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
